How it works

• Register once for the season (team, pair, and/or individual/Mini — see Points League below). Want to join the challenge but not in a team yet, no problem - register for the league and collect individual/pairs points and if you join a team in the future your points will count or we can help match you with a team/pair.

• Form a team/pair of friends, family, yard mates or club pals (you don’t have to be from the same club).

• Enter events directly with the host club(s). Thanks to our wonderful sponsors there will be great prizes at each of the events.

• Ride, have fun, earn points! Your results at each event count towards the league(s) you’ve registered for. Awards and prizes in each of the leagues will be presented at the end of the series, thanks to our headline sponsor Acclaim.

Who can enter?

✨ Teams or pairs of friends, family, yard mates or club members
✨ Up to 10 riders per team (any 4 compete per event — 6 for the Quiz)
✨ Riders can enter any class, but should be your current level
✨ No age or level limits – everyone welcome!
✨ Minis League for riders 10 & under (lead rein, assisted or solo)
✨ Clubs can enter multiple teams
✨ Mix and match riders and horses from your team pool each time

Register

League entry fee: £5 per person (one-off for the season).
This single fee covers entry to the Team League, Pairs League, and Individual League (you can be in more than one).
You must be registered before an event for that event’s results to count.

Points League

Choose what suits you best — you can do more than one:

• Team League: Register to ride in a team. You can be a team of four who all compete at the events together, or you might be a bigger team (of up to 10 riders) who rotate and choose which events you each enter. Once a rider competes for a registered league team, they can’t earn league points with another team.

• Pairs League: The same two riders stick together across the season (adult, junior or mixed).

• Individual League: Open to anyone — ride as an individual at any event and your results count.

Important: You must register before an event for those results to count towards the league(s).

Good to know!

✨ Riders can swap horses through the season
✨ Class that counts doesn’t have to be the first of the day - mark clearly on your entry form which one counts

How Points Work

Teams: Points depend on entries — if 5 teams compete, 1st = 5pts, 2nd = 4pts, etc.

Individuals / Pairs / Minis: Fixed points — 1st = 4pts, 2nd = 3pts, 3rd = 2pts, everyone else = 1pt.

Performance Bonus Points

Dressage: 65–69.99% = +1, 70%+ = +2
Show Jumping: Clear Round = +1, Double Clear = +2
Hunter Trial: Clear Round (no jumping penalties) = +1, Clear jumping & no time penalties = +2
Arena Eventing: Clear Round ( SJ or AE) = +1, Clear SJ & AE = +2
TREC: 70–79% of possible score = +1 | 80%+ = +2

Pairs League

Each pair’s total is calculated by adding both riders’ individual points from each event.

Both riders don’t need to compete for the pair to earn points — if only one rides, those points still count toward the pair’s total.

Extra Points for Participation

Complete 4 or more of the 6 events = +2 points
Complete all 6 events = +3 point

To keep things simple this season, we’re using one live results page for everything.

It updates automatically as results are entered — so there’s no need for new links or checking old copies. You’ll also be able to see which events have been updated at a glance. Please check to see if you have been entered in the correct league before the start of the season, and let us know if we need to make any changes.

League Entry

£5 per person — covers Team, Pairs, Individual or Minis League.
(For Pairs, just name your teammate when you enter.)

When entering, clearly state which team you’re riding for and which class will count toward league points

Safeguarding & Consent (Under-18s)

• Riders under 18 must have a parent/guardian complete the registration and confirm consent for participation and data processing.
• Emergency contact details must be provided to the host club when entering events.
• All participants must follow the host club’s rules and relevant governing body rules for each discipline.

Photos & Media Use

By registering/entering, you acknowledge that photos and video may be captured at events and used by the Manx Horse Council and host clubs for promotion, reporting and celebration across our website, social media, email and printed materials.
If you or your child cannot be photographed, please let us know in advance (see Contact below) and advise the show secretary on the day.
